Coach Owens is the Former Founder and Director of the Baltimore-Metropolitan Urban Tennis Organization and the Baltimore City All-Star Tennis Academy—a non-profit grassroots inner-city tennis program in Baltimore City. For 11 years Coach Owens’ organization provided tennis and education programs for over 10,000 Baltimore City youth and has helped place student-athletes in colleges around the United States. Coach Owens was the former Assistant Coach for the Men’s & Women’s Varsity Tennis Team at Mount Saint Mary’s. In his years of coaching, Coach Owens has helped place 57 student-athletes in college on athletic and academic scholarships. He has been coaching tennis at every level from youth, high school, and college for the past 37 years. Coach Owens is a Level 2 Certified PTR Tennis Professional He is currently the Head Girls Varsity Tennis Coach at Damascus HS, and Executive Director of Koaches Korner Community Tennis Organization in Montgomery County Maryland. Coach Owens is a Team Dunlop sponsored staff member, Professional Tennis Registry, K-Swiss, Holabird Sports, #LovetheGame, and SwingVision.
